This month we are showing Disney's newly released live action version of The Jungle Book. Watch as Mowgli grows up in the heart of the jungle aided by his animal companions.
 
We will have free popcorn, waters, candy, and glow sticks for residents. California Shaved Ice will be onsite for residents to purchase a sweet treat to cool down.

Come knit and crochet for a great cause. Starting this month Janet Vick will be leading a group committed to creating handmade toys for children who experience traumatic situations where police involvement is required. The toys will be given to the Clovis Police Department to be carried in each cruiser. The group will meet the first Tuesday of each month here at the clubhouse.

This month the Harlan Ranch book club takes a look at Garth Stein's The Art of Racing in the Rain. Meet one funny dog-Enzo, the lovable mutt who tells this story. Enzo knows he is different from other dogs: most dogs love to chase cars, but Enzo longs to race them.

This month join us for a dinner and a show at Roger Rocka's Dinner Theater. Enjoy the witty banter as gutter snipe Eliza Dolittle is transformed into a well spoken lady, in the classic production of My Fair Lady. Dinner and show ticket and round trip transportation included in cost of the trip. Cost is $45.00 per person.

Cindy Robertson will be back again this year at Harlan Ranch providing our four-legged companions with obedience training. 
 
Do you have a new puppy that needs to learn the basics or maybe your current dog could use a brush up, Cindy can help with both. Cost is $99 for the full six week course. Please note that dogs that are aggressive with other dogs or people will be asked to take private classes.

Calling all Harlan Ranch ladies, it is that time of year for the Central Valley Women's Conference. This year the theme is #NoLimits with key note speaker Lisa Ling. Harlan Ranch has a table at the event this year and we have spots available! Cost is $100.00 per person (that is $20.00 off regular registration) and includes round trip transportation to the conference, access to all the sessions, and lunch at the event.

We will cover all the facts you need to know when looking at your social security benefits; including how to calculate your benefit, adjustments that may affect your benefit, and advanced claiming strategies that could enhance your benefit. Be aware that SSA does not provide advice on how to maximize your lifetime benefits - we do.  A complimentary social security analysis ($200 value) will be offered to all attendees comparing the individual's specific claiming options.

Mother Goose is back for her final story of the summer. She will be sharing the story "Building a City". This event is the rescheduled story from early August. Mother's who registered for that postponed story will have priority registration.
 
Children are encouraged to bring a toy car with them to drive through the city once it has been constructed.

This month's theme for Harlan Ranch's popular Uncorked evening is "$10 or less". Everyone has a favorite bottle of wine, but a good wine doesn't mean it has to cost an arm and a leg. This month bring a bottle with you that cost less than $10.00 to share with your fellow ranchers. As always, we will provide some additional selections and appetizers for you to enjoy while you try some wines.
 
End of Summer Celebration

Celebrate the end of summer with us here at the Harlan Ranch Pool. We will be hosting an all-american BBQ followed by a dive in movie. BBQ will start at 6:00 PM and the movie will begin about 7:45 PM. 
 
We do have limited space at the pool area, reservations will be required. Cost per person will be $2.00. As always, a wait list will be available once registration is full and walk-ins will be taken the day of the event after 7:30 PM based on available space. Reserve Your Seat & Plate Here
 
Residents are welcome to watch the movie from the coolness of the pool. Personal flotation devices will be allowed the night of the event so you can enjoy the movie from the pool. Due to limited pool furniture, residents are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.
 
Please Note: To prepare for this event the pool will be closed to residents starting at 4:00 PM the day of the event.
